Toms River NJ police arrested a Newark New Jersey man who allegedly manufactured and distributed heroin in Ocean County.
The suspect is a 27-year-old man from Newark, NJ. Law enforcement received a tip about illegal drug distribution and opened an investigation into the suspect. Several law enforcement agencies took part in the investigation, including the Toms River Police Department Special Enforcement Team, the Lavallette Police Department, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Special Operations Group, and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
The investigation took more than a month, with authorities eventually securing multiple search warrants and an arrest warrant. Police officers searched homes located in Winteringham Village in Toms River NJ and on the 100 block of Philadelphia Avenue in Lavallette, NJ.
During the searches, police allegedly found 250 wax folds of heroin, 50 grams of powder heroin, and drug paraphernalia that included empty wax folds, stamps, and sifters. Police also reportedly seized $750 in cash.
The suspect has been charged with numerous drug crimes, including possession of heroin, possession with intent to distribute heroin, and maintaining a heroin manufacturing facility.
After being arrested and processed, the suspect was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River, NJ. He was being held at the correctional facility in lieu of a $75K bail amount.
