Police recently arrested a Newark NJ teen who allegedly assaulted other juveniles at Belleville High School in Belleville, New Jersey.
The violent incident occurred around 8:00 p.m. on January 18, 2017. Four teenagers got into a fight in the parking lot of Belleville High School and began to trade blows with each other. At some point, the suspect allegedly got involved and sprayed bleach at the other individuals.
Bellville NJ cops and emergency medical responders were called to the scene, where they found at least one of the victims suffering from chemical burn injuries. He was taken to Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville and treated for his wounds.
The suspect is a 17-year-old girl from Newark, New Jersey. The Newark Police Department investigated the violent altercation and ultimately decided to arrest her. She now faces criminal charges for aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon.
After being arrested and processed, the suspect was moved to the Juvenile Detention Center in Newark, New Jersey. She was being held there in advance of a court hearing to determine whether she should remain in police custody.
