Police in Essex County recently arrested 48 people in a major drug bust dubbed “Operation TIDE.”
According to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, the drug ring was operating throughout Essex County, New Jersey. The drug distribution network was reportedly run by the 793 set of the Bloods gang.
Most of the suspects were arrested during raids conducted on July 1.
The suspects who were arrested include a range of individuals. The suspects have been charged with offenses like simple possession of marijuana, distribution of marijuana, possession of heroin, and even murder.
Now authorities have asked for the public’s assistance in tracking down the seven remaining suspects. Essex County law enforcement said that the suspects are still at large.
One of the suspects is a 51-year-old man from Newark who is accused of possessing heroin and conspiring to distribute heroin.
Another suspect who remains at large is a 26-year-old Newark NJ man who allegedly possessed heroin within 1,000 feet of a school.
Yet another suspect being sought by law enforcement is a 50-year-old man from Jersey City who allegedly possessed heroin and conspired to distribute heroin.
