Three Men Accused of Possessing Heroin, Crack Cocaine, Loaded Gun at Bloomfield NJ Wendy’s

Police recently arrested three men who allegedly had a large amount of drugs and a loaded handgun in their car while driving through Bloomfield, NJ.

According to authorities, local police received a number of complaints about drug activity outside a Wendy’s fast food restaurant in Bloomfield, New Jersey. Law enforcement agencies, including the Essex County Sheriff’s Office and the Bloomfield Police Department, then formed a task force to investigate the alleged drug transactions.

Members of the task force went to the area of Bloomfield Avenue and Grove Street, where they reportedly observed a 26-year-old man get out of a 2015 Toyota Camry and walk inside the Wendy’s.

The suspect, who is from Irvington NJ, sat down at a table next to a window and allegedly took out a black plastic bag.

When police officers moved toward the suspect, he reportedly tossed the bag to the ground.

According to law enforcement, roughly 600 glassine envelopes of heroin were visible inside the bag.

Police searched the suspect and allegedly found him in possession of Xanax and Suboxone tablets.

Police then went to conduct a search of the suspect’s car, which was in the Wendy’s parking lot. The officers found two men sitting inside the vehicle.

The suspects, who are both from Newark NJ, appeared to be hiding items. A subsequent search of the suspects allegedly turned up a loaded .25-caliber semi-automatic handgun, heroin, crack cocaine, Oxycodone, and other prescription pills.

Officials believe that the estimated street value of the confiscated drugs is more than $10,000.

The three suspects have been charged with a number of drug crimes, including distribution of heroin, cocaine possession, and prescription drug possession. The suspect who allegedly had the handgun was also charged with illegal possession of a weapon.

After being arrested and processed, all three suspects were taken to the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark, NJ. The suspects were being held on bail amounts that ranged from $150,000 to $250,000.
