Police are trying to find a Newark NJ woman who allegedly distributed heroin between New Jersey and New York.
The suspect is a 54-year-old resident of Newark, New Jersey. According to Upstate NY law enforcement, she played a major role in a drug trafficking operation that moved a large quantity of heroin across state borders and into Syracuse, New York.
The suspect is wanted on charges of conspiracy to distribute heroin.
If the suspect is ultimately convicted on the very serious drug crime charges in New York, she would be subject to severe penalties.
One factor in any sentence handed down to the suspect if she is ultimately convicted of heroin distribution could be her previous criminal record. According to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office in Upstate New York, the suspect has a prior conviction on her record for possession of more than 500 bundles of heroin at the Regional Transportation Center.
Anyone who has information about the suspect’s whereabouts is asked to contact detectives at 315-473-7625.
